Hi, I have a Protection Group with 8 clients all running Veeam Agent.  The Protection Group is part on a schedule that backs everything up once a week.  Is there a way to backup one of the machines in an adhoc manner?  Is that Quick Backup or something else?

Thank you!

Hi @Hammer -

Yes...you should be able to perform a Quick Backup of just 1 computer in your Protection Group. You can read more about Quick Backup from the Veeam Agent Management Guide:
https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/backup/agents/quick_backup_start.html?ver=120

As it states, it is an incremental backup, not a full.

Also, a couple limitations exist, which you should already meet:

  • There needs to be at least 1 full for the computer
  • The computer must be protected by the Veeam Backup server

Go to Inventory view > Physical Infrastructure, click on the Protection Group, then rt-click the computer & select Quick Backup
