Evening all!Seeing reports of Windows Update pushing a bad driver for VMware PVSCSI to Windows Server 2012/2012 R2 VMs, it shows as “VMware, Inc. - SCSI Adapter - 1.3.18.0”. Hopefully Microsoft will pull it, just be careful of any patching windows or you may be fishing for old drivers through your backups… or if you’re using SureBackup/SureReplica, if you’ve got a pending Windows Update reboot and it’s a ticking time bomb, you’ll soon know when those VMs fail to boot! Good luck out there!

Additionally, for users with tape installations (for file to tape jobs processing more than 1,000,000 files):1.5 GB RAM for file to tape backup for each 1,000,000 files 2.6 GB RAM for file restore for each 1,000,000 files 1.3 GB RAM for catalog jobs for each 1,000,000 files Please anyone expation what its means?

As many of you may have seen from your email Veeam has recently released a VMCE 2021 Fast Track package for any v9, 2020 certificate holders or people who have taken the v10 class but not passed the exam. I’ve written a blog on the subject but TL;DR it’s definitely worth checking out.

Hello,a customer of mine wants to use a teradata box for a database application.Up to now I have learned already that there is no direct integration with Veeam and that teradata is a little bit “special”. It brings a own data protection solution with it on board. We don’t want to support and maintain a second backup solution besides Veeam for this customer if it is avoidable….Does someone here have some experiences with data protection of a teradata box?My fist idea was to check if the OS is a linux/unix and if it is possible to install a Veeam agent on it. I assume the internal solution can write the backup data in a filesystem and the agent can send it to the VBR server.But perhaps there are some other solutions I didn’t think of. I am looking forward to hear your expertise

 I did an installation on a new vm (Windows 2019)of the VBR 11a with sql express and the installation does not go to the end but I have this error there:12.10.2021 17:29:05][INFO] Exception occurred (Veeam products installation section).Info: System.Exception: Exception of type 'System.Exception' was thrown.   at Veeam.Setup.Wizard.VmInstallStagePrereqEngine.Install()   at Veeam.Setup.Wizard.PredefinedDialogs.VmInstallDialog.m_installWorker_DoWork(Object sender, DoWorkEventArgs e)I tried with other source same result ifanyone has an idea :)  

As title says, Veeam's new policies change the license per socket to more advanced type of licensing.Will the “community version” be affected / discontinued?Thanks to all :)

Hello,I want to try Orchestrator v4 but having trouble about "Recovery Locations". I can able to select "target storage systems" and "target datacenter" but when ı came to "target compute resources" could not see anything to select.Env; vcenter 7 u3 and Netapp ontap 9.7.Ps; ı was able to see hosts from one collect with vm's. Also can not see "compute resources" when ı select "restore" options.Any idea why compute resources not showing ?Thanks in advance,
