Hey community, This week, I encountered an issue with AIX agent backups. I have several AIX servers running versions 7.2 and 7.3. The backup jobs start, but there's a significant delay before they actually begin—when they start at all. When they do, the throughput is extremely low, and some jobs run for over 20 hours. I recently started playing around with Power Automate after a team member asked me to share the status of a daily backup job in a Teams chat. I tried to use Teams' "Get Channel Email" function, however it appears the organization has blocked that functionality. Perhaps they don't want channels filled with emails, and prefer us to use native alerting interfaces. I was left with the only option of using Power Automate, or "Workflows" in teams. I started with a simple template to forward emails to a chat, filtered it by subject line of that job's email report, and saved the workflow. This made me wonder what else Power Automate could be used for. When performing an Instant VM Recovery from VMware backup of RHEL VM to Nutanix AHV. The RHEL VM failed to boot up. Please follow the steps to install the VirtIO drivers into the RHEL VM. We know that Veeam Backup & Replication can back up virtual machines. This is one of the main functions of Veeam and it has the most features and options that we can configure. Normally, when we are starting in the backup area and taking the first steps in data protection, one of the features that ends up going unnoticed is Application Aware.So, application Aware is a function that we can configure in our backup jobs. It allows us to consistently create backup. Consistent Backup But after all, what is consistent backup?By default Veeam Backup & Replication does not perform your backups consistently. This occurs because a default configured backup job does not process a server's application logs. We must remember that Veeam backs up servers through snapshots taken in the virtualization environment. As a result, Veeam ends up not communicating directly with the operating system of each of these virtual machines. This causes Veeam to consider and perform these backups inconsistent

Since we added Linux Repositories to our Veeam Backup environment in my post from last week, why not add some Linux Proxies as well? I will show you how in this post. And trust me…this one will be far less painful. But adding Repositories wasn’t so bad, was it? 😏 System RequirementsThe first thing you need to do is check what OS's, hardware, and software are supported. Supported Linux OS's are exactly the same as with Repositories and are listed below:Linux Proxy RequirementsAs far as hardware goes, your server should have a minimum 2-core CPU, plus 1 core per 2 concurrent tasks (take note, this is a peformance enhancement since v12, up from 1 core per 1 concurrent task); and minimum 2GB RAM, plus 500MB per concurrent task. The weather in Ontario has just started to consistently stay above freezing temperatures, even some days spiking up to 18 degrees (64F for my American counterparts). This warning occurs when a time shift is detected in the Hardened Repository regardless of the deployment type used. In this article, the focus is on “VHR ISO”. This is a safeguard against immutability manipulation that can also be triggered by intentional time changes etc. But in my case, it was as a result of extended shutdown.As you can see below, the backup job completed with warning(s).Did a little troubleshooting and found the root cause. Please, see the error message for more information ‘A problem occurred during setting the immutable flag: repository time shift detected, immutability flag cannot be set.
