Hello,it would be great to be able to limit for physical machines veeam agent backup not only for “disallow VPN” and certain SSIDs, but also by defining an allow list for IP ranges: Some sites have a slow S2S VPN connection, there no agent backups shall happen. Just for the sites with fast S2S VPNS. Examples:Main site = 10.28.0.0/16 (allow)fast satelite site = 192.168.10.0/24 (allow)fast satelite site = 192.168.55.0/24 (allow)slow satelite site = 192.168.99.0/24 (disallow)…. TIA, Rudi Stang

Salut, Am și eu o curiozitate referitoare la câte instanțe de Veeam folosiți. Eu de exemplu folosesc 3 instanțe.. cred că este un caz mai special însă, una cea Enterprise, pentru Vcenter-ul unde sunt toate lucrurile serioase ale companiei globale; una pentru “firma mică”, care de cele mai multe ori e și locul de experimente; una “Community” pentru casă și familie.Nu cred că am cum să le grupez și/sau să renunț la vreuna curând.
Is anybody here having problems with Tape Library control through Veeam lately? I have jobs that have run for years and that even survived the V12 update a couple of weeks ago, but have now started throwing a fit every time a tape needs to be loaded/unloaded/inventoried etc. Every error is a variation of the “Failed to call RPC function” message, but with different specifics: LoadMediumByScsi, GetElementsStatusesByScsi etc. This only started on Friday, and is puzzling because it only affects our Dell ML3 (LTO6/LTO8) interchanger, but not the Dell TL2000 (LTO6). I have tried the usual update of Firmware (Drives and Libraries, SCSI Controllers etc) to no avail. Removing and recreating the Library made little difference either (it loaded a tape ONCE then returned to the errors). Rebooted the Backup Server AND the Library. Has anyone dealt with this successfully or am I looking at new incident?
I've been using Veeam Agent for Windows for a bit, and have successfully used backups to restore individual files. I wanted to upgrade my NVME system drive to a larger one, so I figured I would try using the restore.I made sure my Windows 10 was up to date, updated Veeam to the latest version, created a new recovery ISO, and created a fresh backup. I then swapped in the new NVME and booted from a recovery USB. I stepped through the wizard, selected system volumes only (there is a data SSD I don’t need to restore); I did not use the Manual restore.After it copied everything to the new drive I rebooted, and then was stuck in a boot loop which ultimately ended in a recovery environment. Looking through the manual, there is a note about driver injection, so I tried again and disabled driver injection, still stuck in a loop. I put the original NVME back in and started looking for answers - any insight appreciated.
Hi all,I’ve been using Veeam backup for 365 for a while now and every now and again I get the error ‘the specified database cannot be opened on this OS version when I try to open the adb backup in the Sharepoint explorer tool. I seem to remember I did the backup on Windows 10, and have tried to restore on Windows 10 and also Windows 11 but I still get the same error. The error is not particularly helpful and doesn’t actually specify what the issue is. Does anyone know what this issue is or how I can possibly resolve it? As it stands I’m not able to open the backups which is causing a big headache. Thanks Dan
I've been using Veeam B&R Community for quite a few years backupping my files but I have an issue now which I believe is caused by Veeam B&R. I've always used a Windows Agent with Veeam B&R to back up the entirety of my PC to my NAS without any problems. A little bit of background story. I've been a DJ for ages and always worked with Rekordbox. It's software that allows you to create a library of your music files where you can create a playlist, adjust cue points and export them to USB. Which never caused any problems with Veeam. However, I've upgraded my DJ hardware (Pioneer XDJ RX3) which allows me to connect the DJ gear directly to my music library via USB-C.What was supposed to be plug-and-play turned out to be quite the hassle. Apparently, Veeam does something with the USB port or the way that Pioneer communicates with the gear which causes the software not to transfer its music files into the RX3. Whenever I remove Veeam B&R completely it works perfectly fine.

Hello community, im testing kasten with kanister to backup a ns with NFS pvc. I have a question regarding this type of backup.If i mount same pvc or same nfs en multiple containers, when i run the nfs backup i am backing up twice the info, i mean nfs data.What happen when i restore the pvc, if i erase a file from nfs. I have been digging deeper in to the VONE console especially the Threat Center Dashboard lately and the following graph that shows 0% indicates to check the Reports > Backup Compliance category -- does anyone know the specific report(s) for this that uses it?The other options on the Threat Center Dashboard name a specific report to run for the % showing but this one just gives a category. Hello, We use crunchy postgres operator and for backup database we want use Kasten, we have set policy for backup application for generic backup because we using pv local-storage. We found option use blueprint for backup postgres database with option BEFORE snapshot action. In your documentation for Crunchy operators we found that must be enable manual backup. We set this parametr and now we can backup postgres database with using blueprint for crunchy operators.But we dont know how it works, to NFS storage is store some data after each backup. But is there some option how set some retentional policy for Full,Dif,Inc backup? Hi All, Can we create like backup copy from Kasten exported data?I know we can set only one export location to the snapshot action? But what if the requirements we need more than one copy on different storage for the application backup? Also, how can we delete the local snapshot created by Kasten on OCS CSI storage for example and how can we see this data from openshift side not Kasten dashboard? Thank you

Hallo zusammen!ich implementiere aktuell (m)einen ersten Veeam Disaster Recovery Orchestrator, welcher zum validieren von Backups genutzt werden soll. Hintergrund ist, dass das Backup Repository eine Data Domain ist und somit die Wiederherstellungstests mittels SureBackup nicht oder nur beschränkt funktionieren und meines Wissens nach auch nicht supportet sind. Daher müssen vollständige Restores durchgeführt werden. Aktuell teste ich einen Restore Plan im DataLab (eine VM) mit der Auswahl eines “Full Restore Test”Step 1. Choose Test Method - Veeam Recovery Orchestrator User GuideWie ich jedoch den Logs entnehmen kann, wird trotz der Auswahl im Hintergrund scheinbar nur ein Instant Recovery durchgeführt. Auch in der Veeam Konsole ist zu sehen, dass die VM aus dem Restore Plan mittels Instant Recovery hochgefahren wird. Habe ich hier etwas missverstanden?Ich bin für jede Hilfe/Hinweis dankbar!
I’m wondering if anybody has tried getting a report of all VMs that would be registered in vCenter during failover.Our Plan Type is Storage and some of the VMs in the volume are not required to be recovered at the DR site. The Plan Report shows the VMs but I’m thinking of a DB report, for example, that would enumerate the VMs that would be registered instead of manually retrieving them from the plan. In short, a report showing a VM with “Register VM” in the Recovery Steps. Thanks.
