VeeamON 2024 - Use Code "COMMUNITY10" for 10% Off!
Congrats to the Michael, Nico and vNote!
Welcome everyone! We are in good hands with Kseniya!!
Have a great weekend everyone - and I even learned something today. Check out the post from @regnor on SureBackup Troubleshooting Mode! Clutch!
ALL THE LOL’S! LOVE THIS
Great recap here @vNote42 - and you are right the Forum digest is the best source to get some of the best information first here at Veeam.
I am told the shirt is “VERY SOFT” @MicoolPaul
Cheers, good reminder Esteban. MS Ignite is coming soon, we’ll be focusing on 3 main things: Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 Veeam Backup for Microsoft Azure (including v2!) Veeam Backup & Replication’s v11 support for Azure Archive Storage
The one thing I guess I want to also share is for the readers, to not take registry keys as generic miscellaneous hidden enhancements. But instead for specific scenarios, they can address behavior for exacting configurations. If that makes sense.
Fair shout @Michael Melter - and one thing to note is that in V11 there is an overhaul. Rin on my team has a blog planned on this topic for V11 and I’m going to link it to the “how to upgrade” guide as well as the key changes in the Helpcenter docs.
Hey @Rogeranson@yahoo.com - I’ve asked the person in charge of this to update the page also.
I’m on “Team PowerShell” here, but will add that I did some Perl work and it was easier for me than PowerShell, I felt like I could do more easier with Perl. But officially I still suck at all of that.
Thanks for sharing @Michael Melter - and that was a question I had as well @vNote42 on the version. I also found this related KB:https://www.veeam.com/kb2282I’d always recommend testing configuration like this - but this is hard to do with multiple large ReFS extents.
@JMeixner - hard to pick something where it may go wrong and put it in a video. But that’s where the “top issues from support thru the RTM” would be a nice recap, links to some KB’s etc.I did think of one more thing to add → Answering the question of “Do I have to pay for this upgrade?” This was asked quite a bit today via an email campaign. The Email team sent a mass mailer from me, and I explicitly asked for it to be FROM me (ACTUALLY INDEED FROM ME). The reason why is some really genuine questions are asked, and this was asked twice about the v11 upgrade “do I have to pay for it?” - so it makes sense to incorporate this into the session.
Thanks everyone for the feedback - I was thinking about including a video of going thru the upgrade in my lab. Here is an example of one we did for v10 (external platform), but nonetheless an upgrade. Would that help?
Oh and @kirststoner12 - since when did you get a dog? (Profile pic)
Thanks for this, @kirststoner12 This highlights one of the key things even I mess up (Just ask AS/MC about VC02 in the lab...) with replication… How the ‘actions’ behave, such as Failover now as you highlight.Especially when you are testing replication, which is important to get familiar with it.
Cheers, @jorge.delacruz you and all of the others here make the place great. @Kseniya and I just do the reporting!
Have a great weekend everyone and thank you for your work in the Veeam Community!
Will this cat be the first Veeam Legend? 🧐 Hah, probably not. But maybe a laptop sticker LOL.
It’s great to be back at it for 2021! Thanks, @Kseniya !!
My wife said Cookie and Cloudy is a good name
Oh and by the way, Veeam scored a major win by hiring @julianaramos - welcome to the Veeam Teeam!
I wanted to give the cat the name “Dog”. KSeniya gave me a very interesting look….
Should also add that the logo for the Legend is a Lion… Making this ALL THE MORE IMPORTANT! LOL
We have to give some finality to this situation. We also had to keep it to a choice of 10, 10 good names!
