Personally, I won’t use this method if I ever need to restore my VCSA. I will use Veeam to restore the whole image. I just think it’s easier personally. Though it’s not really an ‘officially supported’ method by VMware..it still works as it has in the past (if it was ever needing to be restore). Although, to VMware’s point in their restore method...their process is kinda similar to how Veeam suggests restoring VBR (build new server, then restore DB config).Cheers.

Great stuff @Kseniya !! Most anticipated sessions for me are the 75min session with @haslund , @tsmith, and Joe Monahan. Great people, and smart...so the session will no doubt rock! Also, always look fwd to Tim’s Sizing Proxy/Repo session. I guess I’m looking fwd to hearing what’s coming next, or at least in the works. None that I’m aware of. If you use the latest ISO, you’ll also get the latest Cumulative Patch, which fixes any bugs found between GA and a couple wks ago, as well as get vSphere 7U2 support.Cheers!
Hopefully never! In all seriousness, HV is just not as mature a virtualization product. Veeam certainly tries to make it as feature-rich as it does with VMware. I think the MS HV tech prevents the same features tho.Cheers!

Personally, I wasn’t really impacted much. I worked remotely for about a month Apr-May 2020, then have been at my office. I am not one who cares to work remotely personally. @MicoolPaul ...I think you will, with events, well...VeeamON at least… sticking with a hybrid model going forward. Well actually, you won’t see the recordings this fast now that I think of it because this year’s were pre-recorded so was easy to get them up right away. For future hybrid events, it’ll take a day or 2 because they will done live.Cheers!
