The truth is that I too have little time ... then in this period of hacker attacks I'm looking at all the security policies, updating firewalls, enabling passwords and double factor authentication I'm going crazy Anyway I look at it and I hope to find the solution My aim is to monitor customer backups in the best possible way and that even a non-expert person is able to understand if there is any problem and in a short time notify those responsible You might reach out to a Veeam Accredited Service Partner (VASP) as they can help you with configuring and maintaining your backup solution. Different Dev specifically has a managed service where they will give you monitoring and some automatically generated/emailed reports as well as support if errors pop up.
I’ve done a lot of optimizations over the years to get the websites I host running as smoothly as possible. Especially because the Scout websites host event registration systems and online stores. I’ve been the happiest with UpdraftPlus and recently even upgraded to the paid version, so I can schedule when backups run (I do the DBs hourly and everything else daily overnight). The staging and migration tools are incredibly useful too. Between backup scheduling, Cloudflare for caching, caching on the web server for what Cloudflare misses, and moving to a much better (albeit slightly more expensive host), there has been massive improvement. I’m talking 30+ sec load times hosting a single site with somewhat regular 502 errors 2 years ago to sub-10 sec loading times (usually closer to 2-5) and hosting 4-5 websites with room to grow on resources.
UpdraftPlus can point to Wasabi as well! I use it to back up my blogging site and a few sites that I manage for Scout troops. https://wasabi-support.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001900552-How-do-I-use-UpdraftPlus-with-Wasabi-
Very nice. I don’t do a lot of automation and am mostly hear to learn from those of you that do a lot….and this one (or series) does not disappoint. I need to learn more about REST API’s in general as I find the API in the Service Provider Console somewhat of a challenge, even with the Swagger UI, but I’m sure once I get over the hump of it, I’m sure I’ll get it. This certainly gives me some more/different insight. I usually end up using Postman or PowerShell’s Invoke-RestMethod command when testing out VSPC APIs. The VSPC Swagger page doesn’t seem to like me trying to test APIs through it and I haven’t taken the time to figure out why yet. I think my single biggest issue is just trying to authenticate with MFA. I can’t seem to figure out creating a token, and it can’t be that hard, but once I get over that hump, I’m betting it’s easier. It seems like the documentation for that sort of thing is lacking, or perhaps I’m not seeing it or am expected to k

Just took some of the new tracks. They’re great! Passing along the relevant tracks to my company’s sales team so they can refresh.
Can this same script be used with MFA enabled for the company? I am not 100% sure as I have only tested this in my lab with MFA not configured, but I believe VSPC’s API tokens don’t utilize MFA so it should work.
There are no concerns. They are still backups where you can restore as normal. Just as a note, V12 won‘t allow doing backup copies from a backup copy job because of the copy job changes. We will bring the feature back, but we don‘t have an ETA. Thanks, Fabian Thanks for the heads up on this. Great to know!
Great outline! Been curious about some of the badge requirements since I joined the hub. Wonderful to see a definitive guide now exists. Will this become a pinned post?
Here are a few posts I have created:VBR 12 Preview: Direct Backup to Object Storage VBR 12 Preview: Best Practices Analyzer
Did you IR to an individual host on a cluster where DRS is enabled? I believe I’ve seen this happen occasionally if vCenter migrates the VM to a different host in the cluster when an individual host was selected in the IR settings.

I’m somewhat rusty on SureBackup. Not something I work with too often being on the VCSP side of things.
