Nice overview Chris ! We’re playing with the TP release here. Important point to mention is that on the Linux proxys, the .NET frameswork runtime must be installed. This is a prerequisite before starting installing the proxy role. Hi @mike.ely ,when discussing about DR, the common practice is to put the VBR on the secondary site..if you have this configuration, maybe it may be convenient to keep VBEM on the DR site as well, and still do a CDP replication or log shipping to the primary site..may be a good idea?

The “problem” is that Veeam is very easy to install and configure for backups with a simple setup.Many customers/IT companies don’t understand the importance of a real knowledge of the product..

Nice post @MicoolPaul !Actually I had never thought SLA violation as such a major problem, of course if time-limited..In my opinion, the probability of a problem occurring to the backup infrastructure and then to a component that needs restore is, lower...On the other hand, if something very serious happens to the infrastructure, there of course the DR plan is triggered.In any case these are all factors to consider..so thank you for sharing them!
