Hello everybody! I’d like to know if is possible to have a Multi-Factor Authentication to access Veeam Backup & Replication console?Do we have something native on Veeam about it?

Is your Veeam Cloud Connect Provider Still Not Using Veeam 11?

We are being told by our Veeam Cloud Connect Provider, Global Data Vault, that we still can’t upgrade to Veeam 11 since there are still bugs in the Cloud Director services.  We are also being told that No other Cloud Connect Providers are on Veeam 11 yet because Veeam is telling them not to be until these problems are fixed. Are you hearing the same thing, or if you have Veeam 11 and have no issue with your Cloud Connect Provider, how long have they been compatible with version 11 and who is that Vendor?

How to setup file to tape for rotate of tapes to and from offside storage

Dear all,Apology I am a newbie here and my question may sound naive. We appreciate any help from your guys.We used Tivoli in the past to backup Oracle for both long term data keeping and DR. We created 3 sets of tapes. 2 sets would  be always in the tape library and one at remote site. Every 2 weeks we get back the offsite set and load it into library, and send one set of tapes to remote site for storage.Could you please give some idea how to set up file-to-tape job (let say daily full backup of Oracle) in Veeam in similar fashion? Our idea is to create a media pool with 3 media sets. One media set online for backup for 2 weeks, another offline in the tape library and one media set in the vault (to keep in remote site). And we will rotate in that way for every 2 weeks.Will that work? We value your input very much.Thank you.Hien

Hitachi Veeam Plugin - Now Available

Tape Library - Drive Locked

Hello everyone,So, I just tried out my new tape library (Powervault 124T) and it worked for the first job I did. I erased some tapes, let that job finish, ejected the magazine, reloaded with some tapes that had data, I did an inventory on them, and while I thought it finished. It must not have. I ejected the tape magazine, changed tapes, and discovered there was one still in the drive, and the job was not doing anything. It was stuck.I canceled it, said okay I’m going to re-run it, but now the drives shows locked & I can’t unlock it.

Full Restore folder size less then the original

Dears Community memberi did backup using Veeam Backup and Replication community edition my backup server based in Windows 2012 R2 i do backup from SMB and its success the size i over 100 GB now im trying to restore the files to Backup server by using Restore entire share but the restored size is only 1.3 GB only iam trying with more than one backup set

im testing the veeam in our environment im using veeam Backup and Replication Community edition the backup server is based in windows 2012 R2 im trying to add normal windows PC as physical machine its fresh windows 10 enterprise edition directly and take the Agent from Downloaded ISO but  i found error Current Operating system is not supported or Lacks the required service back what the solutions please

Struggling with our datacenter backups - How are you approaching this?

Good day… We’re a small MSP with a cloud environment of about 120 VMs mostly on HyperV (our target platform) with perhaps 40% still on VMware. We run a 10Gbps core with Veeam running on a dedicated server, sub-interfaces into each customer network for guest interaction and 12 14TB spindles behind a MegaRaid 9361-8i controller. We use a separate set of 12 2TB disks for our internal systems. We’re on the hook for 90 days of backups per SLA and the last set offsite (we try to keep at least the last 30 days, but we’ve been adjusting this). We’re running on an older generation server with 2 Xeon 2620 v2’s (6C @ 2.1), 96GB of RAM and REFs on the repos. We’ve tried using 1TB of cachecade on the MegaRaid, but the size seems too small and it actually hurts us on performance. We’ve turned it off for now.We have been struggling to keep up with our backup workloads, despite the box seeming to be okay from a resource perspective at the OS level. We’re right at the concurrent process limits based on

Kaseya offer a remote management system primarily aimed at Managed Service Providers (MSPs). Veeam does not send automated emails but email test configuration works

Hi everyone, i’ve been having this problem for a while now…Email notifications after backup completion are not being sent anymore to the specified email address, but when i test the credentials the email arrives successfully to my email account. I’m using the Veeam Agent 5.0 on a windows server 2012 r2. No veeam B&R is implied, just the agent making backups to a local disk.Additional informations:i recently changed the email server for the email account, before changing it everything was fine and the backup emails arrived, so at a first glance it seemed a problem with the email server; but i made a clean installation of veeam agent 5.0 on another server, using the same credentials, and the emails for the backup job are arriving regularly; so this excludes the fact that it may be a problem of the new email server(and also the fact that the email tests arrive without any problem).So i thought this may be a problem related to some veeam files regarding the old installation, so here’s

Cleaning tape unrecognized

Cleaning tape is in slot 10 and unrecognized. Can it be visible in Media Pool? What would be the process to replace the cleaning tape and add it to the slot. Where do I find the I/O slot? Sorry asking basic questions will be taking a training course soon. We are using Community edition Veeam Backup and Replication 10

Question about copyjob functionality

Hi, everyone! I have a quick question about coypjob intervals. If I have my copyjob set to 1 day starting at 4am, does that mean that the copy starts at 4am and runs until 4am the next day and then just starts over? I am seeing some warnings about things not being copied over in the copy interval. I’m a little confused on how this works. How can I make the copy interval longer?
