Backup job finished with Failed, Job details: Job cannot be started. Timeout 904 sec, Job has failed unexpectedly

Even the scheduled config backup job did not progress , veeam version 12.3.2

All the veeam services are running fine. Kindly advise

You will need to check the job logs here - C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\JOBNAME

If that does not help please contact Support as the community is not technical support so we can only give suggestions.

Agree with Chris here. What does the job logs say in the folder Chris shared? Look for a line with “Error” in it and see if anything stands out. Otherwise, Support is your friend.

I agree ..contact support. If anything I would try and reboot the backup server (if possible)

Check this:

  • Please send us the full text of the error extracted from the `Svc.VeeamBackup.log` log file corresponding to the time of the error, which is located in C:\ProgramData\Veeam\Backup\
  • check Windows System Event log
  • check for any overloads on the proxy/repository server
  • Check that all the port openings required for the backup on the firewall are operational
  • How many backup jobs are running simultaneously on the backup server?
