Oracle Change Block Tracking (CBT) is a feature in Oracle databases that helps improve the performance of incremental backups by tracking the changes made to database blocks.When CBT is enabled, the database keeps track of all the blocks that have been modified since the last backup. This information is stored in a bitmap file, which is used by backup software to determine which blocks to backup. Hi, we just upgraded to the latest VB365 v7 and configure new backup job for whole organization sharepoint sites ( around 550 users) at first full we had a lot error 429, but now its still same with incremental jobs.any experience with these error ? :) tomas

Yes, Veeam can! (sorry for this pun)Question arose today and I thought this is could be interesting to share: Is it possible to copy a backup copy job? So can a backup copy job use a backup copy job as source job? Yes and no. It is not possible to select the copy backup job directly. But it is possible to select the repository, the (second) copy job searches for backup data. How to create a copy copy job:Start the New Backup Copy Job wizard and enter a name. Here it is required to use Periodic copy (pruning) Copy mode! Note: Source copy backup job can also use Immediate copy (mirroring) mode. On next step, press Add… → From backups... and select the job you want to copy second time.It is important to do so, otherwise, selected source repository (next step) will be ignored!Press Source… and select the repository, the first copy job uses as target. Vulnerability in Veeam Backup & Replication - March 2023

Veeam has just informed it’s customers about an existing vulnerability in Veeam Backup & Replication. Unauthorized users may be able to request encrypted credentials from the VBR service, and therefore get access to the backup infrastructure. The KB articles haven’t received updates so far, but the vulnerability did get a CVSSv3 score of 7.5.EDIT: The KB article has just been published: KB4424It’s recommended to patch VBR as soon as possible!SolutionPatches have been released for VBR V11 and V12. Please keep in mind that older releases are also affected, but no longer get fixes. Accepted for the sixth year in a row. #VeeamVanguard Veeam Vanguard 2023 I was a part of the Veeam Vanguard program for the past five years in 2018-2022, with the hopes of another renewal for the 2023 year. Applications opened up for the 2023 year, and this time, it was all based on your application, whereas in previous years, you could have others nominate you. I have remained active with the Veeam space promoting the product, blogging, Twitter, Paper.li E-Newspaper, and even wrote a third edition of my book for Packt Publishing - Mastering Veeam Backup & Replication v12So I filled out the application with examples of all my activities throughout the year in the hopes I would be accepted. With v12 it will be supported to use group Managed Service Account (gMSA) for user credentials.For my understanding of gMSA it will be necessary to have VBR server in a domain. Because it will still not be recommended to join this server the production domain, a special resource or management domain could be needed. I was using InfluxDB v1.x (latest stable release is v1.8), but InfluxData is about to deprecate it and consider it end-of-life at the end of 2021. Recently we had a vulnerability on Veeam Backup & Replication called CVE-2023-27532.So today, I’m going to show how easy is update VBR and install the patch to correct this threat. According with KB4424, we need to download the patch correctly to v11 or v12. In my case I going to update a v12 environment. So, the first thing is download patch: After that we only to unzip the downloaded file: The installation is really simple.
