VM Recovery Testing on Nutanix AHV

Hi All,

 

Hope that this is the correct place for this kind of query.

I am running Nutanix AHV and have a mix of Windows Agent and native VM backup jobs running.

Obviously, I want to be able to test the backup jobs by restoring the VMs and making sure everything works as expected.  

In the absence of being able to leverage Sure Backup within B&R I was wondering how anyone else that used Nutanix AHV is going about this testing while being able to allow client connectivity for testing purposes.

Thank you for that post, that is really useful information and definitely something that will be useful generally.

Unfortunately for my customer’s requirements, that doesn’t quite fit the bill.  They need to be able to evidence full recovery from a backup at any point in time.  

The hassle being that as it will be a production VM it can’t go anywhere near the main network and they don’t currently have any kind of sandbox capability.
