VeeamON Pro Tips: Insights from Past Attendees

Hello VeeamON Veterans!

If you've been part of VeeamON before, you know the kind of magic it holds. I’m asking each of you to share your stories and insights.

How did you plan your day? Who did you meet that changed your game? Your experiences are invaluable to our first-time attendees and can really shape their expectations and enhance their journey.

To give you a little inspiration, look at this reflection by one of our Veeam Vanguards, Jim Jones, who shares his personal VeeamON highlights, and the tips on life/ work/ travel balance gathered in comments by @Geoff Burke

Let’s band together to make VeeamON unforgettable for our new friends—share your advice, photos, and the tips and tricks that made your time worthwhile. Watch how your shared insights light up their experience!

Looking forward to seeing your stories and photos light up our community!

Hello fellow “Veeam” or “VeeamON-ers”!

Since Daria has asked VeeamON (conference) veterans to share their insights/suggestions for others and/or newbies, I thought I’d start the sharing first. Feel free to comment your experiences & insights as well. The more ‘takes’ the better!

First off, be prepared. What do I mean by this? I recommend selecting sessions you want to attend either via the app or online. Certainly select ones you want to attend, but be ok if you don’t attend each & everyone you select. Be flexible.

Secondly, I recommend introducing yourself to others. We are all tekkies, and you know what that generally means → we’re introverts 🤷🏻‍♂️😁 But I recommend taking a step of faith out of your shell and introduce yourself to fellow attendees. A great place to do so is in the Veeam Lounge (Village?..not sure what it’s called this yr; basically, the ‘hang space’). You never know what connections or networking opportunities await you by doing so.

Also, pace yourself! Some go into the Conference diving in head first, as it were, and hit a “crash point” before the show is in full swing. Make sure to certainly enjoy each aspect of the Conference, but to pace yourself while doing so. VeeamON is 2 ½ days of great opportunities to be had. So make sure you are there for every aspect of it.

PARTY! Yeah, I know Veeam now calls it a “celebration” (not sure why), but make no mistake, the Wednesday evening gathering is always a hit. 🎉 Fully take in this final “session” to celebrate the learning and connections you’ve made during the week. But, make sure to call it quits early enough so you don’t miss your check-out and flight times on Thursday 😂

And there you have it. I hope my insights/suggestions help you have an enjoyable VeeamON experience. Feel free to comment your own below.

Best!

Slightly related question - Do you know when will details be released in regards to the “celebration”?

It’s usually a ‘secret’ until right before the party. But maybe Daria can provide some hints at least???… 🤷🏻‍♂️🙂
