We have a client who recently switched to Proxmox and they have Veeam VBR configured.
Client currently has site-2-site Proxmox to Proxmox replication.
How can VM replication be achieved from ProxMox on Production to a DR site via Layer 2 connection site to site or via VCSP Cloud Connect?
DR site currently has VMWARE vCenter and Hyper-V.
A ProxMox host can be placed at the DR site.

Could you share a simple diagram of the environment along with a bit more detail on how everything is connected? I’m not quite following the current setup or the intended replication flow.
Specifically, it would help to understand:
- How many sites are involved and what role each one plays (production, replication, DR, etc.)
- Which platforms are running at each site (Proxmox, VMware, Hyper-V)
- What the desired outcome is for replication and failover
At the moment, I’m not sure I fully understand the question. Are there three separate sites in this design?
