Below is this week’s VTT VMCE practice question. Please remember to hide your comments.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After a reboot, a physical Windows server shows volume E as inaccessible.  It looks like the volume has been corrupted.  The server has several volumes:  C (OS-60GB), D (data-60GB), and E (data-600GB).  Employees urgently need to access the files on this volume.  Which of the following would provide the fastest RTO on the same hardware?
  1. Use Restore Guest OS Files to restore all data to drive E
  2. Perform Instant Disk Recovery of drive E
  3. Insert the Veeam Recovery Media and restore using “System Volumes Only”
  4. Insert the Veeam Recovery Media and use Volume Restore for drive E
  1. Perform Instant Disk Recovery of drive E
  1. Insert the Veeam Recovery Media and use Volume Restore for drive E
  1. Insert the Veeam Recovery Media and use Volume Restore for drive E
It’s a physical server then:
d. Insert the Veeam Recovery Media and use Volume Restore for drive E
with all available options i would go with d - Insert the Veeam Recovery Media and use Volume Restore for drive E
If drive C: and 😨 holds only OS and static Program files - talk to the customer - if it’s possible do an Instant Recovery of the whole System as a VM, should be the fastest option imo to gain access to the data.
B - Perform Instant Disk Recovery of drive E
b - as it represents the fastest way back for the customer.
The answer to this week’s VTT question is below…
As the previous question was, this question is knowing about Veeam functionality and a feature’s limitations/considerations. So what can the Veeam Agent for Windows do and not do? Instant Restore is generally the quickets restore option, but as VAW doesn’t have an IR option directly in the Agent Console, b. is not the correct answer. Option a. is a restore option, but is certainly not the quickest means to do so. Option c. doesn’t address the data drive, in this case Drive E. This leaves the only remaining option d. Insert the Veeam Recovery Media and use Volume Restore for drive E as the correct answer. For further info, see URL below.
