Let's take a moment to give a big round of applause to @michaelcade and @Geoff Burke for their incredible talks at KubeHuddle in Toronto! These guys really rocked the stage and blew our minds with their insights into data management and protection in the cloud-native and Kubernetes realms.

Michael Cade took the stage with his talk on "Fantastic Features: The Secrets of Cloud-Native Data Management." and Geoff Burke brought his expertise to the forefront with his talk on "Application Aware Kubernetes Data Protection." Both Michael and Geoff's talks were packed with valuable insights, great demos and actionable takeaways.

Thanks to talks like these at KubeHuddle we are opening the door to discussions about data protection, a topic that often gets pushed aside. Their passion, knowledge, and dedication to educating the community play a vital role in elevating the understanding and awareness of data management and protection.

Let's give a big shoutout to Michael Cade and Geoff for their fantastic contributions and for enlightening us with their remarkable talks. Kudos to both of you!!

Thanks Julia. It was great seeing you and Michael this week. Probably the best perk of being a Vanguard/Legend is getting the chance to meet and engage with such a wide variety of interesting and intelligent people like both of you. Our associations and interactions influence us and we grow both in spirit and strength by engaging with our peers. I think we have all now learned to appreciate this so much more after having to overcome the pandemic era. If there was something positive about the pandemic it is that perhaps we awakened from a “take it for granted state” that we had been living in. The gift of community and social interaction is precisely that, a gift and not a given. Thank you so much for being one of the organizers!

These events can be hard work but I always get enormous satisfaction at seeing people from different countries, cultures, religions, with different views and lifestyles come together in a joint love of technology. It helps me overcome my middle aged foreboding and pessimism about the state of humanity.

I will try to remember all of these winged words tomorrow when I wake up all grumpy at 2 am in order to get my flight to Miami VeeamON.
