Veeam Backup for Microsoft Office 365 5d cumulative patch KB4222 - Critical data loss possible without the Patch

Veeam released a new Cumulative Patch for VBO365 5d.

If you are a service provider and you are using VBO365 for doing backups of your customers to an object storage, please install the patch immediately. 

Without the patch, under specific conditions, there could be a data loss. You can find out more under the following kb article:

I always update my vbo365 server directly if it’s only a CU Update. I‘m not to worried about any issues after the patch. The vm is back-ed up daily with vbr in my designs. :)

Cumulative patches are normally not a great change.

Yeah we need to test it as we have developed a front-end portal for O365 so it could break that. :wink:

That’s true, the patches/CUs do rather small changes and until now didn’t create any problems.

I have updated some of my vbo servers. No issues with the backup jobs last night.
