Hey folks!A little update we opened a Vmware support ticket, and without surprise here a part of the answer“During the backup process, Veeam will temporarily mount the VMDK files associated with your VMs. This allows Veeam to access the data necessary to create a complete backup. Once the backup finishes successfully, Veeam will automatically release the mounted VMDK files. If you encounter a situation where a VMDK file remains mounted after a backup job completes, this may indicate an issue with Veeam itself. Hence, the issue is not with vCenter, and we recommend contacting Veeam support for additional assistance.”Well, I ll continue to make some tests :)
Merci pour le partage les gars :)

Hey, One of my customer just report me this problem, after a research, there is a kb for this https://www.veeam.com/kb4483 The problem is on the MS side 😕 Thanks - this looks like it could be the cause! When did your customer first see the increase? Since last week like you, 26-27 March
Applied yesterday on a customer site, it works properly now
Hi @Stabz I had a hunch: are proxies present from previous installations? For example, v11 --> v12 update? Have you tried to add a new fresh proxy and tested it to failed backup job? Hey !I installed a fresh Linux Proxy on one site and a new fresh Windows proxy on another. It seems that I never have any stuck disk on my Linux proxy. On my new Windows proxy without any hardening etc I got the problem again....Another interresting thing the problem seems to affect only production Windows virtual machines.
It’s an excellent all-in-one solution! Efficient backup performance and the ability to utilize advanced Veeam features (such as Surebackup, Instant Recovery, etc.). Plus, the option for long-term and protected archiving. Exagrid has significantly improved backup performance for synthetic Full backups in its latest versions. It also integrates default security modules like MFA and Security Officer, alerting.Having installed several of these solutions, I really appreciate the ease of implementation. As mentioned, there’s no need to install an additional gateway server; the Datamover is directly integrated. Another strong point, as previously mentioned, is having a dedicated engineer for support. Exagrid’s support is one of the best I’ve worked with. One minor drawback is that it’s not always clear where the data is actually located whether in the Landing Zone or Retention ZoneExagrid is also compatible for Microsoft 365 data backup
Hey! Another great recap ! thanks for the mention @Madi.Cristil !
We are using a windows with desktop experience
@BobLeg you could maybe find some informations here :https://community.veeam.com/cyber%2Dsecurity%2Dspace%2D95/malware%2Ddetection%2Dinline%2Dentropy%2Dscan%2Da%2Ddeeper%2Ddive%2D6820The Inline Entropy module remains quite vague in terms of information and requires further investigation. If you want more detail you could use the guest indexing option.
Thanks @Link State Veeam will have to create an update cause Putty is integrated in the toolbox
Hey guys! thanks for the recap, the new interface is very useful and looks great !One question how do you estimate the % for the Compression ? I would like to obtain this information for my current customers. I used the tool Veeam Healthcheck, in one report I have DedupRatio and CompressRatio, but dont know which one to use or if it’s a calculation of both values
