Veeam Recovery Orchestrator 7.2.1, a key component of Veeam Data Platform Premium Edition, has been released. This release introduces significant enhancements for cloud recovery, Hyper-V integration, and security.

Key Functionality includes:

  • Support for Azure Local recovery target: You can now use Azure Local as a recovery target for both vSphere and Hyper-V workloads, expanding flexibility and cloud recovery options.
  • Hyper-V direct-connected cluster support: Extended Hyper-V functionality enables support for direct-connected clusters, eliminating the need for SCVMM. This simplifies deployment and management for Hyper-V environments.
  • MFA integration for VRO UI: Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) can now be enabled to secure logins to the VRO user interface, providing enhanced security and compliance. Microsoft Authenticator and Google Authenticator apps are supported.

Veeam Recovery Orchestrator 7.2.1 is compatible with Veeam Backup and Replication 12.3 and Veeam ONE 12.3. With these enhancements, Veeam Recovery Orchestrator 7.2.1 empowers organizations with greater flexibility, streamlined management and stronger security for orchestrated recovery across hybrid and cloud environments.

Thank you for VRO update info.

THIS is what I have been waiting, wrote off VRO 7.2 Hyper-V due to needing SCVMM, but now you dont I have to go back and look through it for some customer scenarios

Thanks for the update <3

Great to see Hyper-V support without SCVMM and MFA for VRO UI. These updates make recovery planning much easier and more secure.
