Welcome to the Veeam User Group Belgium & Luxembourg !
The BeLux (Belgium and Luxembourg) User Group first formed in 2022.
The User Group is driven by two technical passionate Veeam guru's of Belgium.
Next to them, the Veeam System Engineer @smarivoet (better known as mister Veeamclick) is often involved, participating and supporting the initiatives taken by de Belux VUG.
Our goals :
Belgium and Luxembourg are two small countries, with a wide diverse range of companies going from startups to large enterprises, and our events cater to them all.
Our mission is to provide the latest insights and trends in the IT industry, enabling businesses to stay ahead of the curve.
We organize interactive seminars that are informative, providing attendees with the opportunity to learn from industry experts and network with peers.
We believe that staying up to date with the latest technology trends is crucial for businesses to remain competitive in today's fast-paced digital world.
Therefore, our seminars provide practical, ready-to-use information, tailored specifically to SMEs, which make up a large proportion of the companies in the region.
Our events will cover topics such as best practices and new features, with a strong focus on practical feasibility. We encourage an open culture and welcome discussion and input from all attendees.
In addition to our online events, we also aim to organize at least one in-person event per year, providing even more opportunities for businesses to connect and learn.
We are officially recognized by Veeam and are both recognized by Veeam as being a Veeam Legend (Nico) and being a Veeam Vanguard (Kristof).
Veeam is very supportive, but they also equally allow us to run the group completely independently from them with no hidden agendas nor content direction.

Nico Losschaert
Nico works as a infrastructure consultant and engineer/architect at ORBID NV in Belgium.
His main focus is on virtualization, backup, Disaster Recovery and storage.
Holder of technical certifications from Veeam and Datacore : VMCA, VMCE, DCIE and DCSA.
He is also being a Veeam Legend.
He stands for defining and implementing best practices.
Next to that he delivers a high quality in implementing infrastructure projects, resulting in a satisfied loyal customer.
Kristof Poppe is a seasoned self-employed CIO and co-founder of Integri, with a wealth of experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex IT infrastructures.
Aside of Integri, Kristof is board member of several companies in the Belgian IT industry.
With over 25 years of hands-on experience, he possesses an extensive and comprehensive technical knowledge, particularly in the areas of infrastructure and security.
He specializes in virtualization, security, backup, disaster recovery, and hybrid cloud environments, and holds several certifications in CheckPoint, Veeam, Microsoft Azure, and Prince2 project management.
With his strong technical background and leadership skills, Kristof is a trusted advisor for businesses looking to optimize their IT infrastructure and secure their systems.
