I have a VMCE Certification, achieved in December, 2017. Can I upgrade it doing the ADO-2020 ? Or I need to retake VMCE and then try the ADO-2020 ?

It sounds like you currently hold the VMCE9 certification. If you are looking to become a Veeam Certified Architect, then the next step would be to attend the 2-day VMCE-ADO class and them finally pass the VMCA exam at Pearson VUE.

You can of course upgrade your VMCE to 2020, and this will not currently require sitting a class. I would suggest upgrading before the VMCE 2021 exam is released.

Thank You Rasmus, I will need to do it ASAP!

Veeam informed us in July 2020 that all v9 VMCE has to be renewed until 12/31/2020 to VMCE2020 unless you have to retake the class.

@stadi13 if you hold the VMCE v9 you can sit the VMCE 2020 exam without sitting the class again and you can prepare with the VMCE 2020 Exam Study Guide. This can be accessed by logging in to https://www.veeam.com/vmce-certification.html

Whilst there is currently no deadline, this wont be possible if a new exam is released

Hi @DuongThinh, the FAQ for the VMCE training says the following:

“There is not a Veeam Authorized Education Center (VMAEC) near me. What are my options?

VMAEC’s deliver classes in both classroom environments, where you can attend remotely, and live online formats. Check with a VMAEC close to you, or with your preferred language, for their schedule.”

But I’d also just like to highlight this one as well:

“Are courses available in different languages?

Veeam instructor-led coursework is provided primarily in English, but classes are often delivered in the local language.”
