I have gone through the help section for SureBackup and don’t see a way to do this at the moment. Will keep exploring or until someone comments that might know if it is possible but right now I don’t see how.
Hi @Chris.Childerhose I tried to find hwo to do it as well, but get the same as you.
Thank you for helping !!! :-)
Not a problem. You might want to search the Forums for Veeam as well - https://forums.veeam.com and if not there add this as a feature enhancement for a future release.

Hi @Chris.Childerhose , sure, will do.
How can I ask for new features enhancements? is there a form to fill?

Just create a post in whichever section applies with feature request in the title of the post.
I know that's created to not have duplicates in the environment. Not sure if you can manually change it though. I can’t say where it even gets that ID from but never considered the need to change it.
@Scott I’m looking something similar to Replica Jobs ou CDP polices that allows us to add a sufix, the main goal on my question is to have a easy way to find out the VMs that are testes in a certain period of time (from vSphere console) for example.
Hello Andre, how are you?
Did you manage to find out how to customize this Sure Backup VM name?
I have cases of MAC conflict in VMWare and I would like to put exceptions in these cases, but as you mentioned, this ID after the VM name is random.
HI Renan, I’m doing quite well, thank you!
Renan, but the sureback uses Virtual Lab, that is suppose to be isolated, could you give more details regarding the MAC Conflicts?
