Hi, everyone

I have configured Veeam Agent for Windows to backup to One Drive, for a user, and I am getting constant and consistent failures and I am not having much luck finding a solution. The errors mainly are:

Veeam Agent 'job’ name finished with Error and will be retried. Job details: Error: Shared memory connection was closed. Failed to upload disk. Agent failed to process method {DataTransfer.SyncDisk}. Exception from server: not an object Failed to download disk.

Hello @bp4JC ,

did you see this page?

I assume there is an authorization problem...

I’ll take a look at the job. When it was setup, we did sign into their One Drive when we went through the job creation wizard. We were getting successful backups and then they just started erroring out.

Hmm...according to the documentation for VWA, you indeed can backup to OneDrive. It appears you’re not running a Server OS, as I believe the OneDrive option would be greyed out. I assume you set the credentials required for OneDrive? Did you follow the steps here @bp4JC ??

I was able to set the job up successfully and get them authenticated with One Drive during the setup, and we were getting good backups for a while, and then they just started erroring out with the errors I listed.

Further to checking the documentation provided by others and this is just shot in the dark but did the user’s password to OneDrive change?  Not sure if relevant and if so ignore this but something basic to possibly check.

Gotcha. The error doesn’t explicitly say authentication error, but did say ‘timed out’ at the very end, potentially referring to authentication, so thought that could be it. Hmm… what about local disk space of the computer? Is there enough there? From your first error, and I’m not an Agent developer so not sure of the explicit backup process for Agents :) ...but it says there’s a sync error, so appears it may back up locally then sync to OneDrive? So maybe not enough space on local disk? I see some similar errors listed in the Veeam forums. If no disk issues, maybe time to open a case with Veeam?
Cheers!

This is a great suggestion. I don’t think it has, but I’ll double check that.
