First Backup Job -Successful but no files in repository disk

Hi, can someone tell me how to troubleshoot this? I installed Veeam on Windows 11 Home and defined its configuration, then resolved issues it reported. When I ran the backup job it reported success but no backups were created. I followed the quick start guide for a simple setup using my Dell for all components and tried backing up my C:\ drive to another drive where I would copy backup files to an ssd to keep offline.

Where is your repository pointed to in Veeam?  It is impossible for a backup to run successfully, and no files be in the repo.  Also what version of Veeam are you using?

Hi @ArtInt Andy ...as others have shared, can you provide more info on what you installed exactly? Veeam Backup Community Edition (free) or Veeam Agent for Windows (Free)? Can you also share your Job configs? Hopefully we can help you when you share the more needed info.

Best.

I have installed VEEAM Backup & Replication 13 Build 13.0.1.2067 License: Community Edition.

The install process created a “default” repository that was  assigned a nonexistent drive, not what I wanted. I thought I had deleted it but it won’t go away and throws a warning. I defined two more repositories for main backup and offsite copy. Both succeeded and are recognized.  I steered a backup job to one disk and a second job to add copies on the other as well. I do have VEEAM Agent installed. Also the console was installed.I DID NOT make the suggested PC hardening (yet, until  I learn the side effects).

Thank you all for jumping in to offer assistance I appreciate it.  Let me know if I have left anything out. I may need instruction extracting data.

So are the backup files in the new Repos then?

You can change the Default Repo (I believe), but you have to unassign any backup jobs you have it assigned to first.
