Veeam Threat Center Overview
The Veeam Threat Center provides you with a complete and comprehensive view of your entire data protection landscape. The dashboard allows you to visualize what areas of your infrastructure are susceptible to a cyberattack, thus allowing you to remediate and fix any gaps in your environment in real time. By collecting these different data points about your product configuration you can take the necessary steps to implement best practices and guidelines.
Data Platform Scorecard
The Platform Security Compliance score gives a score that represents how compliant your environment is. The lower the score the more at risk you are of not being able to recover data in the event of a data recovery incident. You can obtain a report that shows the areas for improvement which will improve this score which can be shared and actioned in order to make necessary changes.
The Data Recovery Score gives a score to indicate how healthy your backups are. This score is based on a malware scan. If the score is low it means some backups may be infected with malware. A report is available to show exactly which backups may be affected in order to be actioned.
The Data Protection Status score shows whether or not you are meeting your data recovery goals. Every business has a limit on how much data they can afford to lose. This is the Recovery Point Objective (RPO). This score tell you whether backups stored contain enough data to meet your RPO targets.
The Backup Immutability Status score indicates the percentage of backups that have an immutable copy being kept safe from modification or deletion.
SLA Compliance
The SLA compliance overview analyzes protected job policies and the workloads to make sure you’re meeting the SLAs defined by your business. It provides a heatmap view of your backup policies and makes sure the workloads included in them meet retention requirements in order to identify any protection gaps.
RPO Anomalies
This screen shows backups that are not meeting RPO targets. Helping you identify 'weak spots' where you are at risk of unacceptable data loss in the event of an incident.
Malware Detections
This map shows you where potential problems are within your backups and is created automatically when you backup your data. By looking at this map you can quickly assess where potential issues lie.
You can also obtain a detailed report that gives more information about infected files such as when they were infected and which backups are affected.
