Veeam 100 Community Worldwide | Veeam Community Resource Hub

Have you ever wondered where we Veeam 100 members are distributed around the world?

Based on Veeam 100 Directory | Veeam Community Resource Hub and the public location information I have from our LinkedIn profiles, I sat down and provided a world map that answers exactly the above question, or shows it on the map. In the backend, I use MapGeo and Google Sheets for this.

As soon as you press directly on a member or their point on the map, the photo stored from the Veeam 100 Directory (in the Community Hub) opens.
For short information such as names, titles and, if applicable, Blog URL just “hover” over the point on the Map.

Below the map is a search mask, here you can jump directly to the corresponding member, which also opens the stored profile picture (see above). If you want to continue searching, just click outside the photo.

Now only @safiya, @Madi.Cristil, @NikolaPejkova, @HannesK and @Rick Vanover need their own category in the Veeam 100 Directory with a photo, so that I can read/scrap this in as well. You can also already be found in the map and search mask

If someone is still missing on the list or if I have stored wrong location data, please just contact me. The same applies if you no longer want to be listed. A direct info to @CMF, here would certainly be a place for you on the map, make your path to a legend! .

Data Maintenance

So that I don't have to enter every member via a manual entry, I use an external spreadsheet that I can maintain more easily, here is a small example:

Great work Markus!! Fortunately I was able to see the Map in beta last week at the VUG in Germany and loved it. And thanks for mentioning me in your article. I´ll be working on it.

Update: I have been able to optimize the tooltip a little, you can now see the member's profile picture directly when hovering over it. This saves you having to click in the lightbox.

A click on the members blog URL (if shown) will open it in a separate Tab.

That is much nicer now being able to hover to see the picture versus click. Great work!

Great job as always! I got the chance for a preview as well and I kind of knew what was coming - but you put a whole lot of work into this afterwards so well done!
