If you want to take your Veeam career to the next level, you can rely on Veeam’s education platform, Veeam University Pro.

I’ve just enrolled in the Veeam Recovery Orchestrator Essentials course, and here are my first impressions.

There are three tabs on the left side: the Path tab, where you can navigate through the lessons; the Learners tab, where you can see the members; and the Discuss tab, where you can post questions to be answered by the expert team. This means you’ll be assisted by a real person.

The platform is easy to use. You simply click on the desired lesson and watch the video. The videos are high quality, and the trainer speaks very clearly.

Subtitles and full-screen mode are also available.

You can view and download the transcript.

I’m enjoying it so far! I highly recommend taking this training course.

After the lesson, you will be asked a question to test your understanding.

I am in the middle of VRO course already taken the VBR/VONE and it is pretty good so far.  Starting in March going to finish it off (if not sooner) so I can get the Security course to show up.

Is this the paid subscription? or the free one

Paid version for me as my company bought it when they had a sale where 4 users could get access.

@kciolek
That’s a good question, thanks for asking.
Veeam offers both free and paid versions.
On the Community page, you can access Veeam University Free.

To be honest, the free courses are great — there are more than 80 topics available.

Some topics are extremely useful, such as “Onboarding for Veeam Data Platform.” In this course, you will become familiar with important concepts and best practices.

They are completely free.

If you’d like to dive deeper, you can subscribe to Veeam University PRO. With the PRO subscription, you can take the classes as many times as you need for one year. The subscription gives you access to four courses:

  • Veeam Backup & Replication v13.x: Configure, Manage and Recover (VMCE)
  • Veeam Data Platform v12.x: Monitor, Manage, Analyze
  • Veeam Data Platform v12.x: Scale, Automate, Secure
  • Veeam Data Platform: Enterprise Data Security

Thanks for sharing Andre’. I haven’t yet purchased this. Am going to try and get my org to do so...but honestly, there’s no need to learn this for my work here as we don’t have a need for VRO. So taking the course would just be a “nicety” for me. Not sure if my new boss would support that. We’ll see 🙂

I have gone through both the Community Hub VRO walkthrough, and the VRO video done by Jason Trier on the University Free site. The video is really good. The Hub walkthrough post is ok.

I wonder if the free will be enough for the exam (VMCSE or other).  It will be interesting once they come out.

Hi Chris, As far as I’ve heard, you need to attend VMCE, VRO, and VONE to be eligible to take the VMCE+ exam.

Nice post Pulia! The platform of these courses are really satisfactory with a high quality on recording.

The transcript option is really good to put on a AI tool and complement the study path.
