Replicas should be there, where are you missing them, on what widget/widgets? Cheers

Cannot find (for example) on Job Historical Information (job list panel and graphic panel)...and I’ve a lot of replicas on the time interval.

Maybe it’s related to the fact that I’m using veeam 11? (maybe some missing APIs?)

Last question, I promise….

How can I delete all the data from the influx database?

Need to start from scratch with empty database.

The easyest way without re-creating a database….

Many thanks!

Hello, following these steps: https://docs.influxdata.com/influxdb/cloud/write-data/delete-data/ but pointing to your influxdb server.

Hello

Influxdb and Grafana run on two different Ubuntu servers. Veeam runs on a Windows 2022 server. Telegraf is also installed and running there.

I have started the .sh script on the influxdb Linux server, now I get this error message with it

Writing veeam_vbr_repositories to InfluxDB
Error: failed to write data: 400 Bad Request: unable to parse 'veeam_vbr_repositories,veeamVBR=192.168.0.9,veeamVBRRepoName=Backupserver\ Repository,veeamVBRRepotype=WinLocal,veeamVBRMSDescription=Backup\ auf\ die\ Lokale\ Disk\ G:,veeamVBRRepopath=G:\,veeamVBRRepoPerVM=true veeamVBRRepoMaxtasks=12,veeamVBRRepoCapacity=59994894919270,veeamVBRRepoFree=49574123143168,veeamVBRRepoUsed=16203300995072': invalid tag format
Writing veeam_vbr_repositories to InfluxDB

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Customers are very happy with their macro view of the backup environment. Grafana is an ally in their day-to-day work

Hi,

I’m having issues with the dashboard, as the Backup repository - Usage capacity is empy, and the “Backup repositories” shows the same size 2Tb for Capacity,  Used Space and Free Space.

Any ideas what could be the issue?

Thanks

I’ve just updated to the new grafana json and script, they’ve been updated on the repo on github. Almost everything is ok now except for one job (Malware Detection give an error during the script).

You’ve to upgrade Veeam to 12.3.0.310 too

Works great on Grafana 11, influx 2, and Almalinux 9.5 :) !! keep those dashboards up

i hope one day veeam would expose data better or choose to support telegraf.

@jorge.delacruz

Excellent post, I used it in my structure and it is working perfectly.

I made some adjustments to the script so that I could insert the S3 buckets, standard and glacier, adding a few more lines to collect the data.

Another issue is that when there is a null field to be inserted, influx, it presents a 400 error. In my case, I changed it and set the value 0 in the field that was null.

Now I need some help, I can view system jobs, such as configuration backup and malware detection, but I can't view the Windows Agent Backup job, is this an API limitation or is there something I might be doing wrong?

Thanks

Hi,

I’ve upgraded Veeam 12.3.0.310, but still the same issue.

Do I have to perform any other steps?

Regards,

Hi,

I’ve uploaded the latest files, veeam have been update to 12.3.0, but sill have “Backup Repository - Usage Capacity” with “No data”, as well as “Backup Repositories” with the same Capacity, Used Space and Free Space”, although it’s not the case.

What can I do to solve this issue?

Regards,

Hello,

I do not know what can be happening, I have Linux hardened Repo as well, and it shows well, every output has an echo commented, please uncomment those for under the repository section, and paste the output :)

Thanks so much for the missing repo types.

This is the output, as you can see, shows as 2 Tb.

Jorge, could it be something related to max size set at field level for a table, or related to max disk size expected? These repos are 12 Tb.

Are those logical repositories, out of the same physical hardware? But also, if you use swagger, and you go the same endpoint the code is calling, what do you see there?

Jorge, sorry, but what do you mean with “and you go the same endpoint the code is calling” ?. I’ve been able to use swagger, but don’t know how to get the info you are requesting me.

Hello,

What I mean is, navigate to the usual VBR Swagger, get a bearer token - Authorization with Swagger UI - Veeam Backup & Replication REST API Reference

And then please navigate to the endpoint called /api/v1/backupInfrastructure/repositories/states, and execute it, there you will see the details:

Compare those details with your VBR Console:

The script it is just taking what the API is giving, that specific endpoint. So the error is that it is not showing correctly the TB, or that the details are wrong?

The swagger shows the correct sizes of the repos.

What could be the issue?

Regards Jordi.
