Hi all,
Last year I attended the Veeam 100 event in Prague for the first time — and it was absolutely amazing. It was great to finally meet in person all the people I'd been talking to on this forum, and of course everyone else there.
There's a story I've been meaning to share ever since, and now feels like just the right time.
During the event there were several sessions on new features, products, ransomware and so on. At one of the training sessions on GUI development, a listener raised his hand early on and asked something along the lines of: "I'm sorry — are you from the marketing team or from R&D?" The presenters — two or three women — confirmed they were indeed from R&D, front-end development.
😁
Anyway, this is the funny story I wanted to share and to spread more awareness of women in tech(not only in marketing) and to promote a webinar that I will be hosting on May 19 at 18CET with my good friend Daria Pilat, Team Leader in Veeam Technical Support of the 🥷 SWAT team, where we will talk about her journey into IT and her path to a leadership role. We'll cover a lot of ground:
→ How Daria got into tech and grew into management
→ The structure of Veeam Support — and what the 🥷 SWAT team actually is and how it operates
→ Women in Veeam Support: the numbers, the reality, the opportunities
Come and join us!
