VMCE is dead,  long live the VMCE+

Veeam University is evolving

What's new in the certification roadmap?

The big news for 2026 is the expanded technical certification track. VMCE is gone, and a path now leads into a brand-new VMCE+ certification, with additional specialist tracks covering:

  • 🔒 Veeam Certified Security Expert — focused on enterprise data security
  • 👑 Veeam Certified Enterprise Architect — an invite-only panel review at the top of the stack

In order to obtain the ability to site the VMCE+ proctered exam one needs to have done the training for all three VBR, Veeam One and Veeam Orcestrator, then one would need to sit the Cyber secure training in order to be allowed to take the VMCSE exam.

Veeam Architect is now an invite only by panel review system for select partners.

(not sure how i feel about this one. i do not like a vendor effectivly holding the keys on what accreditations a partner is allowed to hold, We will have to see how this one plays out)

If you already have a VMCE and completed the exam under v12 of v13 you can skip the VBR training and do just the Veeam One and Orchestrator training to uplift to VMCE+

The VMTSP (Veeam Technical Sales Professional) certification and the VMSP are being rolled into one,

And VMTS is the technical path available for free on partner university.

For now the new training is primarily only avaiable on the subscription model with instructer led comming down the road.

Flexible learning options are available via the new Veeam University PRO eLearning Subscription — 24/7 access for 12 months to all PRO content, with fresh updates included. Partner pricing starts at $1,600 for 4 seats. and customer pricing is $1,899 per seat.
