I put the date of when this week’s question is supposed to be, but I’ll be traveling for vacay. So I’m posting it today (9th). Only a couple more VTT questions to go, then I’ll post questions the Community has shared with me. If you’d like to help out, come up with a practice VMCE question and DM it to me. Don’t forget to provide the explanation, answer, and link to the answer.

For those new to the VMCE page, please hide your comment (guess). To do so → before typing your response, click the ellipsis (3 dots) icon on the far right of the format toolbar at the top in your comment box and select the Spoiler option. This will place a ‘hide comment’ text box in your comment box area. Click inside this hide comment text box and start typing your answer (guess). Be careful to not click outside of the box or your comment will show after saving. We want your comment to not show after clicking the Send button so others can take full advantage of these practice questions. Also, please no need to do a ‘quote’ comment of this question; I would like to keep these practice questions neat. Let me know if you have issues. Good luck on the question!

A Failover Plan that includes 3 VMs has just completed, starting the VMs at the DR site.  What next actions are available for those 3 VMs right now?

  1. Cancel Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover
  2. Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover
  3. Undo Failover, Reverse Replication, Permanent Failover
  4. Cancel Failover, Reverse Replication, Permanent Failover

b. Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

B There is no cancel option as is presented as permanent failover. Reverse replication does not exist.

b - Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

Answer B is correct

  1. Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

Quite easy this one, c and d are out because there is nothing like reverse replication. a is also out because cancel failover is not an option in Veeam, it’s meant to be ‘Undo Failover’

  1. Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

  1. Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

  1. Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

  1. Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

  • Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

B is the answer.

VMCE has this type of question where you have to show your experience in the consoles...

@Martin Jorge , remember to use the “Spoiler” function in the comment window to hide your answer from those who haven’t answered yet. You should still be able to go back and edit it now.

  • Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover

As I’m chillin’ on vacay, thought I’d provide the answer to this week’s question. See below…

This quesiton is simply having knowledge of Veeam Replication Failover and Failback tasks, specifically what the names of those tasks are. Since there is no such thing as Cancel Failover or Reverse Replication, the only answer option without those in them is b. Undo Failover, Failback, Permanent Failover, thus make this as the correct asnwer.
