Burke’s binoculars received a huge new bill from VMware and hastily migrated their entire infrastructure over to Nutanix. An enthusiastic Veeam salesperson who just had his quota increased mid quarter told told Burke’s CTO Troublesome Tom that Veeam can backup Nutanix just like it did vSphere. The local admin Sneaky Steve wants to leverage dedicated workers since his environment is quite large 999 vms.  What should Steve modify on the Nutanix Veeam backup appliance and will 2 vCPU and 1 GB of RAM be the optimum amount of resources for Management Tasks?

There is no requirement for additional resources for management tasks but since the VM count is just under 1000 the for the embedded worker you need 1 vCPU and 1GB of RAM per task.  So the vCPU and RAM will need modification based on number of tasks to process per job.

This is based on <1000 VMs and <100 jobs as per here - https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbahv/userguide/sizing_guide.html?ver=50#backup-appliance
