Hi VMCA Study Hall Community! Wanted to share with you some news regarding VMCA.

VMCA exam will be retired on November 30th. If you have already completed your training, I encourage you to take the exam soon and not wait until the last minute, no exceptions will be done.

If you haven’t attended the VMCA training yet, please be aware that the last day to do so is July 31st.

Don’t miss your chance and secure your certification!

Hi @Federica and thanks for letting us know!

Do you already have information on upcoming replacements? As far as I know there is a new cert path in the books, is there already something to share?

Thanks and best regards

Lukas

Hy @lukas.k

the new VMCSE will replace VMCA in the compliance check, not in the content and it will be available most likely Q4.

The new VMCSE certification can be obtained after a person attends the 3 trainings requested for this certification that deal with Veeam ONE, Veeam Orchestrator and Veeam Security Features.

Stay tuned as we are almost there :)

👍

Yes sure @Andanet ! I think you will use the same presentation as Bologna, VMCA was not featured there.

Good luck with the event.

For all of those who want to participate the registration for the Salerno event is HERE. 😊

Hi @Federica, could you clarify on what you mean by compliance check vs content? Also, since “The VMCA certification is the highest level of Veeam certification” will the VMCSE become the highest level, and fulfil the same purpose as the VMCA did?

Hi @Tommy O'Shea VMCA is a course focused on teaching attendees how to design and architect a Backup & Replication solution. In contrast, VMCSE is a bundle of courses covering a range of topics. For example, Veeam Data Platform (VDP): Monitor, Manage, Analyze covers deploying, configuring, and leveraging Veeam ONE; VDP: Scale, Automate, Secure focuses on configuring, managing, and supporting Veeam Recovery Orchestrator; and Veeam Data Platform: Enterprise Data Security teaches security features.

To support their growth with Veeam, partners are required to maintain a minimum number of certifications to keep their status. This compliance ensures our customers receive the highest level of service. Previously, partners were asked to earn the VMCE and VMCA certifications; moving forward, the required certifications will be VMCE and VMCSE.

And yes you are right, VMCSE will become the highest level of certification, in this phase. We also plan to release new trainings probably in 2026. Stay tuned. 😉

Hi @Federica, could you please help in distinguishing between VMCA Single Voucher T1 and T2? Does any include training or just exam only?

Hi @Federica, could you please help in distinguishing between VMCA Single Voucher T1 and T2? Does any include training or just exam only?

Hey @Iams3le We use the VMCA Single Voucher T1 and T2 to indicate where the exam voucher will be redeemed (Please note that what matters is the location where the exam is taken, not where the voucher is purchased). T1 refers to Tier 1 countries. During the booking process, you will encounter a page with a PDF detailing the country tiers.
