Veeam Plugin for POSTGRESQL

Forum|alt.badge.img+1

Good day team,

Is there a plugin solution for Postgresql running on ubuntu/linux desktoip edition(application level). Have some databases that i want to selectively backup and restore. I do not want to backup at the image/file level which is simple.

I need something similar to the veeamsql plugin where i can configure the plugin, open the “backup database” app on a gui/desktop and view databases, run the backup on selected databases and the corresponding jobs pop up in veeam BR gui.

Need to be able to Restore as well.

Thanks guys

Not currently there is nor have I heard plans.  This would be something to suggest in the forums or even search there to see if it was already suggested.

@SysEng -

As Chris shared..no, not yet. The Ent App Guide has all current apps supported via Plugin:

Hello @Chris.Childerhose, thank you for response. So basically no veeam plugin support for postgresql to see actual databases and back them up in veeam (seeing them in jobs window) like that of the oracle and sql plugins.

Wow, i guess postgresql is did not find favour in the veeam developers.

Any idea when will this be integrated, a patch, update or support will have to advise me?

Currently, i am backing the postgresql database and backup folders at the file level for now, which is running fine for now. Wish there was a plugin for the Suse Linux.

Thanks again.

You can use the Linux Agent for Postgres backups too.  You will need to ask Support or post on the Forums to see possibly when it will come as a plugin.  Maybe there is even a thread now on the forum about it (more than likely).
