Hi @tomi.petrovski -If I'm understanding what you mean & have currently... In the VBR console, you should see a section under "backups" saying 'imported'. You should be able to expand it and see your vm backups. Rt-click on a backup /vm object and select a restore option.Cheers!
Nice! I think Veeam does a decent job having them in the respective User Guides. But, since Veeam has grown so huge/complex, maybe it’s time to expand them out into their own Guide even? Thoughts?Cheers!
Thank you for sharing @haslund !! As others have shared, I guess it can. Though documentation, from what I looked up doesn’t “explicitly” state so. If anyone has detailed statement saying AD Explorer can restore *reverse lookup* records, I’m open to receive it. Only thing I saw in the AD Explorer section of documentation is (see here):“Restore of Group Policy objects, AD-integrated DNS records and objects from the Configuration partition is supported in the Enterprise and Enterprise Plus editions only.”...which mirrors what Micoopaul stated I guess. But again, there’s no explicit statement of such. And those are the kind of exam questions, Veeam or otherwise, I do not like. I like “explicit” answer exam questions. In other words, questions where the answer is definitively stated in documentation somewhere. Maybe it’s ok to have some (few) questions like these to show the power of a product function, where not each and every capability can be shared in documentation, but I’m still not a

Well, don’t get me wrong...most questions are done that way. Apologies for any misinterpretation in my statement as such. I guess those types of questions are ok, as long as they’re few & far between 😂
Maybe it’s time Veeam expand out its User Guide to now have one for just Explorers so they *can* be more detailed in their capabilities. You are completely right! The good news? If I only woulda done just a “weeeee” bit more “configuring” what docs to view in the helpcenter.veeam.com site, I woulda nailed those down. Love PDF versions better myself. Tend to be easier to navigate (for me) and generally better search capability. See them here.Cheers!
Thanks for the continued posts Rasmus. And thanks for the info @JMeixner . Again, nothing “definitive” really on the systems you can restore to. Although, I did find on this page here there are only 2 OS options listed when using the Explorer only - Windows and Linux - when needing to configure their respective required user permissions. I guess at least the OSs are listed Cheers!
For the record, I quit using any AAIP settings quite a long time ago...7-8yrs maybe? Getting jobs to run without warnings or errors was such a pain. For VMs with DBs - we mostly use SQL, but have 1 with Oracle - we just do native DB backups within the app on the server, so we would recover the VM if needed, and/or use the backed up DB filewithin the OS (i.e. file-level restore) to restore the DB.Cheers!
Hmm...according to the documentation for VWA, you indeed can backup to OneDrive. It appears you’re not running a Server OS, as I believe the OneDrive option would be greyed out. I assume you set the credentials required for OneDrive? Did you follow the steps here @bp4JC ??
Gotcha. The error doesn’t explicitly say authentication error, but did say ‘timed out’ at the very end, potentially referring to authentication, so thought that could be it. Hmm… what about local disk space of the computer? Is there enough there? From your first error, and I’m not an Agent developer so not sure of the explicit backup process for Agents :) ...but it says there’s a sync error, so appears it may back up locally then sync to OneDrive? So maybe not enough space on local disk? I see some similar errors listed in the Veeam forums. If no disk issues, maybe time to open a case with Veeam?Cheers!

I’m with you...can’t stay current with what MS rolls out. And, think each new one is pointless. I don’t like how Win Update changed the past few yrs not allowing us to choose what we think is needed (update-wise) for our own systems/apps. Eh well.

A lotta folks feel the same as you I think. Just not me 😁 I *need* the social interaction. But, I can end it quickly if needed when work needs to get done. I don't do much h/w work either...only during refresh or rare new implementations. I could easily work from home, if we were allowed to, but I prefer not to.Cheers bud.

NDS was ok; but was generally just another layer on AD (how orgs I worked for used it)
The DELLs I have use Broadcom. And, not knowing what Intel’s issues were, if I didn’t upgrade both the firmware and the vSphere VIBs for BC, the nics wouldn’t be stable. Never experienced that before. I shouldn’t confess this, but when I’d get new servers for vSpere, except for maybe the BIOS f/w, I’d rarely update anything else. I just assumed the h/w vendor shoulda taken care of that Shh...that’s just between us! haha
I knew the sandbox stopped (I think Rasmus and I discussed this or similar a yr or 2 ago), but forgot if there were any warning/info messages it may have displayed.
