I am confused (not an unusual occurrence). I had to do a restore of a VM to a different backup repository from tape, so I could search for some files for a user. Now, I don’t need that restored image. (this repository is a Windows disk drive, and the restored image is 4TB in size). So I’d like that 4TB disk space back, please. :-)
Is there a special procedure for cleaning that off the repository? Or do I just delete it from Windows, like any other set of files?
You need to use the VBR Console if that repository is added there. Otherwise if it is not then delete from Windows.
Best way is to delete it using the VBR console, under imported backups. Then the reference in the internal database of the VBR is cleared as well. If you just want to reclaim the storage, you could remove the files on OS-level.

Ah, I see it now, under ”Home”, “Backups”, “Disk (imported)”. It is the restored one I want, I see the creation date and the repository name. I should just be able to right click and delete from disk?

That’s correct: Move from inventory will leave the files on disk. Move from disk will wipe the files from the drive.
