Minikube release v1.30.0 adds Multi-node support for CSI-Addon

Hi Everyone,

I have to admit my use of Minikube has gone down recently. I have tended to go with Rancher Desktop or if needing multi-node then just cooking up a bunch of k3s nodes on VMs. However, looking at yesterday’s new Minikube release I see that they have added CSI addon support for multi-node clusters. This could be quite interesting as it means that you should be able to create a cluster with a few nodes and leverage the CSI addon which would mean being able to Kasten your deployments. Yes I used Kasten as a verb there :), no typo or mistake. Just like google turned into “googling” I hope to see people in the near future say “I have kastened my deployments" i.e. they are comfortably backed up. In fact just the sound of “kastened” rings in my ears like cast Iron.. i.e. backups that are immutable! :)

I am getting a bit fancy here. I will attempt to setup a multi-node cluster in the near future then "Kasten” a deployment to see if this works.

Might look in to this to start working with Kasten. Also trying to get Tanzu working.

Update, so my desktop could not handle 2 nodes with the CSI addon enabled and Kasten. I have to dig but looks like resources issue. I have not bothered tweaking but I can get Kind and 3 nodes working thon the same machine in Rancher Desktop using mobia and k3s turned off. A bit heavy Minikube is it would seem :)

Lets see next week. Next week might bring some surprises.
