I’ve been a long-time critic of Veeam’s lack of functionality and overall clunkiness compared to other software, mainly Acronis, but I am always looking for what situations any product might be best suited for, so I’m curious what everyone’s favorite things about Veeam are, especially if you migrated an environment to using Veeam from any other product, what product was it and what made Veeam the better choice?

Hi, generally every backup product has pros and cons. It depends, what kind of platform you have and were you are going to be. If you have physical servers and you would like to migrate to virtualization or to cloud.
Another aspects are
- development of features - speed of product enhancement
- if support team has good knowledge
- multitenancy
- UI is user friendly with most features inside
- more products on top of basic function - like monitoring, reporting, …
- community/solutions
All these aspects were fulfilled by veeam.
In my case it won veeam due multitenancy as most aspect. After 6 years i still agree, that we have been chosen best product on market (i was working with several products, already 18 years in backup area).
