Hi Community,
Does anyone know if is possible to define an especifc name during the sureback job execution for vSphere?

The surebackup job give a randon name to the VM that is being  tested adding a 32 hexa charecters as suffix  , like the screnshot below

I have gone through the help section for SureBackup and don’t see a way to do this at the moment.  Will keep exploring or until someone comments that might know if it is possible but right now I don’t see how.  😋

Hi @Chris.Childerhose I tried to find hwo to do it as well, but get the same as you.
Thank you for helping !!! :-)

Not a problem.  You might want to search the Forums for Veeam as well - https://forums.veeam.com and if not there add this as a feature enhancement for a future release.

Hi @Chris.Childerhose , sure, will do.
How can I ask for new features enhancements? is there a form to fill?

Just create a post in whichever section applies with feature request in the title of the post.

I know that's created to not have duplicates in the environment. Not sure if you can manually change it though.  I can’t say where it even gets that ID from but never considered the need to change it.

@Scott I’m looking something similar to Replica Jobs ou CDP polices that allows us to add a sufix, the main goal on my question is to have a easy way to find out the VMs that are testes in a certain period of time (from vSphere console) for example.
