Want to use VEEAM for my Proxmox Backup but got some Problem to get the Worker up and running.

When i want to set up the Worker manually there is not Network to Add.

The Network Access goes over Linux Bridge and the Veeam License is Enterprise.

Has Anyone a clue where i can search or fix it.

Hi @hwkatzengruber

Has this host been setup with the official Proxmox  image or were the Proxmox components manually installed on top of a Debian installation?

I have a dedicated Server with Debian 12 Bookworm already installed and on top i did the Proxmox Installation with Version 8.2.

Is this a Problem?

Unfortunately hosts setup this way aren't supported for the moment and run into the issue you're seeing. Only the official PVE image is supported/working.

I used the Proxmox VE distribution for V7 to install it and I had the same problem with Veeam.  Unfortunately my first time deploying Promox was for testing and I used a DELL Optiplex 7010 Tower for the install and Proxmox V8 and it was not stable.  I had to reinstall V8 twice and after that I gave up and tried the newest version 7 and all is working fine.  I have a VM running Windows Server 2022 with Veeam B&R CE 12.2 and a VM running a UBUNTU 20.0.4 LTS server as a Linux Hardened Repostory.

So i should install Proxmox direct on Baremetal and not over Debian 12 Bookworm.

Will try this with the Provider of the Dedicated Server.

Yes, it should work with the Proxmox VE ISO.
