Yes version 13 is going to have both Windows and Linux flavours of VBR.  The Linux version is OVA or manual install.  Not due out until at least Q2.

Good news. I guess 12.3 is up next for me then. I am 180 days out from license renewal. I plan on building up a new server and migrating at that time. Is there an open beta? The only issue I might have is I use tape as a long term offsite retention in addition to cloud (in case cloud introduces some extortionist egress fee) and traditionally that has been difficult to deal with when it comes to Linux. My understanding is Veeam will be rolling their own distro so maybe it won’t be an issue.

There was a tech preview for the V100 members but that is now done and there has been no further builds as yet.  They are working towards GA but hopefully there will be a beta closer to the release I am hoping.

I’m excited for the upcoming release of Veeam Backup & Replication v13! Looking forward to testing the new features and seeing the improvements it will bring. 

Perhaps something to look forward to during the VeeamON conference? That would certainly make for an exciting release announcement.

On the manual install of Veeam B&R on linux will CPU licenses still be honored? If not, and VUL is required, why?
