@hs08 ...yes. VMCE will migrate a bit to be VMCE+. Instead of only knowing VBR, you'll have to take courses for & know VONE & VRO for this new exam.

The VMCA is no more. But there will be a new cert called VMCSE. This doesn't replace the VMCA. It's new. To attain the VMCSE you'll have to have a current VMCE+, take the new Security course, then pass the VMCSE exam.

There will eventually be a new Architect cert. The VMCAr. It's not even in the development stage yet so can't really share much about it.

I will be discussing cert changes next Tues at a virtual VUG event if you’re able to catch it. 10a Eastern.

Best.

hi @coolsport00

If i have VMCE then for getting the VMCE+ I must attend the course again or can take the exam directly? Can i know the link for Virtual VUG also?

Keep in mind...to attain the new VMCE+, a VBR course is not the only requirement as was with the old VMCE. VONE and VRO courses are now required. At this time...yes, the VBR course is required. I will try to get the definitive answer by the time I present at our Virtual VUG event on Tues if holding a current VMCE nullifies the need to take the new VBR course. Regardless, the VRO and VONE courses will be required at the very minimum. Even if the VBR course is required, I somewhat agree with this decision because with v13 the platform has had such a radical change.

Yessir...the link to our Virtual VUG USA event next week is below. Safiya/Madalina have yet to share the GoTo Meeting link...but to Register & details, see below:

Hi Handian -

I just got confirmation from the Veeam Certification team → no VBR v13 Course will be required for those who hold a current v12 VMCE certification.

@coolsport00 Sure, I’ll be delivering a Veeam class to 10 students, I’ll ask them to join as well, not sure they will, because it is lunch time. but I’ll try. :-)
