Veeam 12.3 Datastores Not Showing "Access Permissions..." Menu

Greetings.

On a Veeam 12.3 install, whether there be an NFS or SBM datastore, and even while trying to hold the [CTRL] key and right-clicking on any datastore, the “Access Permissions...” menu does not show up, nor is there a ribbon icon visible for “Set Access Permissions” option.

The logged in user into Veeam is a Veeam Backup Administrator. This option is visible on any other Veeam servers tested.

What would be the cause for this effect?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks, all.

The situation, as it turns out, was simple. The said datastore(s) are simply part of a SOBR which removes the Access Permissions for the datastore components of the SOBR, and Access Permissions apply to the SOBR itself, instead.

Access Permissions are visible to isolated/SOBR-independent datastores.

Your replies are appreciated.

What specific 12.3 release are you on?  I have an NFS share and can see the Set Access Permissions button in the toolbar and right-click menus without issue.  Now I am running 13.1.1.

Have you tried a reboot of the VBR server to see?  Are all services running that are supposed to?  If all of this does not help, then you may need to patch or upgrade to v13; otherwise, a support case will be the last course of action.

Hi @vn888 - welcome to the Community!

I have v12.3.x and am able to see the “Set Access Permissions” on all my Repositories.

As Chris shared, maybe try a VBR server reboot, and if that doesn’t clear things up, reach out to Veeam Support.

Best.

Glad to hear you solved that one.  Forgot about SOBR and how it changes permissions.  Good catch. 👍
