Unable to install the veeam agent - Windows server

Hi All,

Unable to install the veeam agent to a windows server, this was working earlier.

The service status is as below on the affected VM

PS C:\Windows\system32> Get-Service *Veeam*

 

Status   Name               DisplayName
------   ----               -----------
Running  VeeamDeploySvc     Veeam Installer Service
Stopped  VeeamEndpointBa... Veeam Agent for Microsoft Windows
Running  VeeamTransportSvc  Veeam Data Mover Service

 

We have killed the msi and veeam services, uninstalled the veeam agents from control panel - cannot find the veeam agent for windows in the control panel though, restarted the server, still the status remains same. Kindly advise.

      What version of Windows Server and the Veeam Agent?  Is there a compatibility issue possibly?  Check the logs here C:\ProgramData\Veeam

      If nothing else works contact support.

      ​@Bennet - need more info as Chris requested. Also, need more details. What error are you receiving so we can better understand what the specific issue is you’re having. Are you saying the VAW Services won’t uninstall? VAW Service won’t start? Please provide more info.

      And, for VAW logs, the actual location is: C:\Program Files\Veeam\Endpoint Backup
