I  have 1 backup that is unable to scan, I’m getting the error :

5/27/2026 11:18:04 AM Failed : Scanning for viruses fuse: mountpoint is not empty fuse: if you are sure this is safe, use the 'nonempty' mount option Unable to mount device [/dev/loop26] with filesystem [ext4] to mount point [/run/media/Veeam.Mount.FS/9bb20087-b8ef-47b7-8fe3-ffd91c43c73b/vg_root_0-lv_root_0/storage/core]. Agent failed to process method {Mount.GenericMount}.  (fuse: mountpoint is not empty) (fuse: if you are sure this is safe, use the 'nonempty' mount option) (Unable to mount device [/dev/loop26] with filesystem [ext4] to mount point [/run/media/Veeam.Mount.FS/9bb20087-b8ef-47b7-8fe3-ffd91c43c73b/vg_root_0-lv_root_0/storage/core].) (Agent failed to process method {Mount.GenericMount}.) (0:00:09)”

The backup in question is a vcenter backup which is a linux backup, the backup repositories already have the new linux mount server I made as the default mount server. I don’t have any other available option to use for this

I don’t see an option to add a VBR server option within the surebackup job.

Please advise

Open a Support Case and let Veeam Support review the error in the logs.

Please note that not all linux distributions are the same -- VCSA is custom distribution, and as such may have configurations incompatible with mounting with FUSE.

Similarly, in general we do not recommend backing up the VCSA -- I understand the intent as VMware does not support installing anti-virus to the VCSA, but VMware’s and Veeam’s guidance on the matter is to protect the VCSA configuration, not the VCSA itself.

The error itself tells that FUSE is preventing you from mounting the disks to a mount-point that is not empty; I’m not sure why this is being thrown, but Veeam Support likely will be able to tell more (a quick check of internal Support knowledge articles doesn’t reveal any known issues), so Support case is best to confirm.
