We are using Veeam Backup & Replication(V12) to take backup of Virtual Machines with Application-aware processing.
Some of the virtual machines have SQL Server Databases.
We take backup to Disk and Tape.
Is it possible to restore SQL Server Database directly from Tape?
If yes
Is it possible to restore to different virtual machine?

Hi, application restore directly from tape is not possible at this time.

You will need to first restore the backup to repository, then perform the application restore.
