I already have a ticket open on this, but while Im waiting does anyone have any suggestions on things to try. Unfortunately, to make things complicated this only started happening after we upgraded to V13 and also upgraded the firmware on our exagrids. We are using storage integrated backups with Pure. I have not updated the Storage Array plugin yet. I have rescanned everything I could possibly rescan and all backups still sit at 0%

Check your backup repository and the number of maximum tasks set, as that can bottleneck and cause that message.  If not a server and going directly to Pure you can even turn it off but check best practices first.

Found it. I have it set to 10

So it can process 10 tasks at a time.  Depending on the documentation for ExaGrid you may be able to up that number or even remove it.  Check the docs though.

Hey! Since this started right after upgrading to V13, I’d definitely check the Pure Storage plugin first.

go through the process of adding the Exagrid again, if you navigate to Backup Infrastructure ==> Managed Servers ==> Linux. Right click on each of the Exagrid nodes properties and walk through it again. This happened to me as well.

try what I mentioned above with Exagid - that fixed my issue after upgrading.

also, if you have maintenance, you should have a level 2 Support Engineer from Exagrid they might be able to help

Hey! Since this started right after upgrading to V13, I’d definitely check the Pure Storage plugin first.

Just upgraded the plugin to 2.1.4 and rebooted. So far smaller backup jobs are working.

Did you increase the concurrent task settings in the Repository wizard as I mentioned or check the docs about removing the checkmark?

Ah so plugin update that would do it. :)

Good to hear that updating the plugin helped 😁

Since smaller jobs are working, it might indicate a resource or timeout-related issue with larger jobs. I’d suggest checking, proxy/repository load during backupn network throughput to the Pure Storage array or any timeouts or bottlenecks in the job logs. It could also be related to changes introduced in the plugin version, especially after the upgrade.

If the issue persists with larger jobs, it may be worth opening a case with Veeam to investigate further.
