When backing up o365 data if I am using DAS like windows or linux, does the repository requirements remain same as for veeam backup & replication?

No, linux repos cannot be used.

The supported Backup Repos are documented here:

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo365/guide/vbo_backup_repositories.html?ver=50

CPU and RAM requirement is documented here (Proxy server is the backup repo):

https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/vbo365/guide/vbo_system_requirements.html?ver=50#backup-proxy-server

“Mildur” and “wrong” in the same sentence is hard to be real.

In the link you posted @Anandu , last row say:

“The [Linux] storage must then be provisioned to the Windows-based server VM as a volume in the guest OS.”

Of course, thats possible. You use iscsi or fc to present this linux storage as a virtual disk (lun) to the windows OS.

The disk must then be formatted with ntfs or refs to use it. For me, in the end, this is a windows backup repo. You can‘t use „a linux Backup Repo“ like in the vbr product. :)
