Log date time format

Anyone know why my VBR server log using . (dot) and use 24hours format in the time ?

The server actually use 12 hours format with : for the time.

It follows the system Region/Locale settings. Search “Region” in the Windows Search and you can adjust the time format there.

Hi ​@hs08 you're not looking at a log in those screenshots provided. You’ve run a PowerShell cmdlet and highlighted part of the description column showing when you made the backup job…

 

If you do have the issue you’ve described in your post, please provide screenshots/log outputs that evidence your issue, that would be useful.

It follows the system Region/Locale settings. Search “Region” in the Windows Search and you can adjust the time format there.

This is the answer.  If you change the region settings or customize them it changes this format.

I agree, as this is different from the clock settings, which is why he is concerned as shown in his screenshot!

@Iams3le, the display is not always reliable. Windows sets a lot of these items per user and has other hidden options that allow for the display to be different than what is shown on the screen. A Support Case would help here as it can be seen at the start of many logs on the VBR server what locale the process is using.
