Hello Veeam Community,

I’m working with Veeam and need clarification on how SLA compliance is calculated in the following scenario:

I have an SLA setup with the following settings:

RPO (Recovery Point Objective): 8 hours
RTO (Recovery Time Objective): 8 hours
For a backup job that runs for 24 hours, the results were as follows:

20 backup jobs finished within the 8-hour RPO.
2 backup jobs took 9 hours to complete (missed the RPO by 1 hour).
2 backup jobs failed (no backup completed for these VMs).

How does Veeam One calculate RPO compliance in this scenario?

Hi @asharma15 welcome to the Community. I personally don’t use VONE, but maybe @kirststoner12 or @jorge.delacruz can assist?

Best.

Hi @kirststoner12 , @jorge.delacruz  Could you please assit?

Hi @asharma15 , I guess the RPO is calculated for each VM.

Look at this for example: https://helpcenter.veeam.com/docs/one/reporter/protected_vms.html

Hi-

Yes, the link Marco has provided is very insightful and describes the report in question best. You can also change the RPO interval to meet your needs. So, within the report you can specify your desired RPO, and then run the report based on that measure.

Additionally, this is possible within the Veeam Threat Center - you can specify your RPO throughout the dashboard in the different widget settings. Just click on the three lines at the right corner of the box. You can also change the RPO in the “ VMs with no backup” alarm to meet business requirements.

Thanks for chiming in Kirsten! 😊
